About Me

My name is Paul Young, although I gained my reputation under my first name, Bernard. I have over 30 years combined legal experience as a paralegal, legal secretary and legal word processor, having worked with many legal firms and in a myriad of legal practice groups during that time, the result of having provided temporary support services as a sole owner and operator of my own temporary services company. My greatest strengths lie in (1) my ability to provide typeset-quality prospectuses and proxy statements on the desktop, (2) my expert legal transcription skills, and (3) my advanced editing/proofreading skills. I am very strong in the litigation, corporate and securities, and mergers and acquisitions arenas. The aggregate of the skills and experience I have gained over the years allows me to easily adapt to most areas of law.

I cut my teeth in the mutual fund document preparation business beginning in the early 1990s, as one of the original members of the Washington, DC law firm of what is now known as Luse Gorman (which today is the leading law firm in the United States in total common stock offerings by commercial banks and savings institutions), and later as an independent contractor for the law firm of Muldoon, Murphy & Aguggia (which later merged with and into Kilpatrick Stockton). During that time I gained a reputation among the financial printers in Washington, DC for being able to prepare typeset-quality mutual fund documents on my computer desktop using standard word processing software — something that at that time no one else in the nation was capable of doing — that may still be the case today. I was able to save these law firms and their clients thousands of dollars in typesetting costs as a result.

Beginning in June 2016, I decided to start my own business offering my services nationwide, and have formed my own company for this purpose.
